The Situation
A startup with a growing team had no structured onboarding process. New hires were learning through informal knowledge transfer — slow, inconsistent, and impossible to scale. The team needed a self-serve learning environment that could bring people up to speed without requiring constant senior team involvement.
What I Did
I designed and launched an end-to-end e-learning platform covering the key knowledge areas new hires needed to become productive. This included defining the learning objectives, structuring the course content, producing the training materials, and setting up the platform itself — built to be maintainable by a non-technical team after handoff.
The Outcomes
• Course-based onboarding time reduced from 2 weeks to under 1 week • Platform launched for a 20+ person team and remains live and in active use beyond the engagement • Onboarding process became self-serve and repeatable, removing the dependency on senior staff for basic knowledge transfer
